Guess what you're wonderful cool-ass-kickin' turtlemama is gettin'? I'm getting my DREAM appliances and kitchen. Don't ask me how in the heck this happened but it just seems that everything is falling into place. If you look below you'll see that I was doubtful that I'd get my 'dream' refrigerator and/or range well......We went to the Maytag store right here in town and VIOLA! The guy that owns it gave me a SWEET deal and I'll go pay him next week and he'll deliver it next day!!!! AND AND AND AND He's giving me FREE delivery and set up!!!! Lowe's would charge me $65 for the delivery and $25 for Gas range hook-up! So not only did I save over $300 off of retail (for BRAND SPANKIN' NEW appliances) but I'm saving the delivery and installation fee too!!! HOOOOOOTTTTTTEEEEEEEHOOOOOOOOOO!!!! And I found the countertops and they are NOT that expensive and the flooring will be hardwood (that tile that I put up below looks TERRIBLE in real life). We STILL can't find the cabinets though but we're lookin' and we have some leads, we'll look again tomorrow. AND to top off our already GREAT day (my mom had the kids so DH and I could go browse) DH found a place to get tools for next to NUTHIN!!! I'm so happy. Life is GREAT!!!!!! All because I got a deal on a stove and fridge! ROFL it's the simple things in life!

Yay! I know I'd be excited. If this wasn't stupid military housing and I cared about any of it, LOL.
It really is the simple things in life that matter. Good for you for noticing that even the smallest things can make you happy. Congrats on finding a great deal.
I was the kid who was always thrilled with slinkys and silly putty. So I can imagine the joy new appliances bring. I think alot of people are shocked when they realize remodeling is not as expensive as they think it will be.
