Aunt Flo is here and I hate her..........

With that out of the way let me tell you what my day was like yesterday;

8am- DH wakes me up, I roll over and say "I'll get up in an hour." Remembering that I only have until 11:45 to actually shop for the late-ass Christmas presents, I decide that 9am is PLENTY of time to get it all done and be home by noon...so I roll over to get back to sleep.   I Notice BT lying there staring at me like a maniacal killer and roll to the *other* side.

8:15am- Take Shower, BT wouldn't let me sleep, so might as well get this Christmas shopping shit (wow) out of the way...

8:35am- Out of shower, look at clock, exclaim to self, "Wow I'm ahead of schedule, I thought it was surely 9am already..SWEET!"

9am- Get ready to leave the house, must walk the dogs first though...I *am* going to the mall (yuck!) and Toys R Us (double yuck!)

9:15am- Arrive at mall, not too bad, more cars than say, in March but hey, it ain't that bad!

9:45am- Leave mall empty handed after searching FOREVER for a stupid turtle game that no one has ever heard of (who gave BT the idea of 'cute little turtle game' for Xmas? no, it wasn't me...I swear it!) Ok, I didn't search forever, but damn I hate the mall and going to 2 stores is forever to me, ok.

9:47am- Arrive at Toys R Us, it's packed, I'm on my way into hell...mutter to self, "Gawd damnit, I will never go on ANY trip before Xmas again, I just want my catalogs and mail order Christmas gifts, this actual store shopping shit SUCKS!" (wow, again!)

10:28am- Leave TRU, call the DH, bitch about how I only got 3 of the bazillion and one gifts that I need to get, get bright and wonderful idea that since I'm ahead of schedule, I'll run over to Target on the way home see what they have.

10:45am- Arrive at Target, the placed is covered up with people, muttering again to self about no trips during the entire month of December...

11:15am- Leave Target after finding EVERY LAST ONE of the hard to find toys that I wanted to get for the kids, (all wood toys, simple stuff, nothing electronic, except video games for BT, but only 'cause we can play those too). AND I paid UNDER $85 for everything, how cool am I?? Yup, THAT cool!

Still don't have the turtle game, but DAAAAMMMMNNNNNNN I got everything that I wanted to order the boys and it was HALF if not more, of what the catalogs would have charged me! (minus shipping)

BTW, DH had the boys and was working from home, as I walked into Target he called me to let me know that he had to leave for work as soon as I pulled into the drive, isn't that wonderful? 

 Dh to me: "Honey, I know you're stressed because we had to go see my family instead of buy Xmas gifts and we're running behind and you've busted your butt the past 3 days to buy decorations and whatnot for the Christmas Eve Gathering, but uh could you sort of speed up this whole 3 hours that we agreed upon and get home sooner?? A V.P. for my company doesn't have any replacement computers where he is, because the company/CEO is too cheap to buy anymore, and now I'm in huge trouble, K?" (this isn't really what he said, but he should have that would have been funny!) My Reply;

 "Sure, dear, I'll hurry."  I took my own sweet time, that stupid VP can just sit there without a computer, had he and the other upper management that makes well over 2MIL a year taken a paycut, they wouldn't have this whole 'no laptops on hand' problem....fuck 'em.  Not much DH could do anyway, the big wigs brought ALL this shit upon themselves....DH just had to say "I'd be more than happy to get you a laptop, sir, but uhhh y'all won't let us buy a box of PENS let alone computers so.....you take your platinum card and run over to Best Buy and find ya one, maybe you can take that MIL$ a year salary and buy yourself a nice cute Best Buy computer boy too!"  Bastards.

ONLY 7 MORE DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!

So as I was sitting here yesterday picking and choosing which pictures would make the 'cut' onto my scanner, eventually ending up in my blog, I noticed that I was missing a roll of film.  The 'IMPORTANT' roll.  You see this had pictures of my FIL (pretty good ones I think), my SMIL feeding the kids (It was really cute), the kids on the playground at the resort, pics of the beach (I think) and of course, the all important, PICTURES OF SEA SHELLS!!!!! I was heartbroken.  I literally tore my house apart (ok not literally, but still..) I opened every suitcase we had and dumped it all onto my bed, I pulled every toy out of the kids' backpacks, I dumped books onto the kitchen table, I went over my new car with a fine tooth comb (found a paperclip, a quarter, and a dime, hooo hoo!).  NOTHING!  I called DH, frantic that I *HAD* to find that roll of film.  Then I cursed myself for not buying a digi-cam sooner.  Then I pleaded with my Granny to PLEASE HELP ME FIND IT!!!!!! (ok actually it sounded more like, "Granny, PPPPLLLLEEEEEEAAAAASSSSEEEEEE help me find that film, I RRREEEEAAAAALLLLLLLYYYYYYYY want it.").  So finally, after tearing the house apart for a SECOND time and frantically calling DH to tell him that the film is gone *forever*.  I start to walk upstairs to get my children back into bed, when what to my wandering eyes does apear? (no, not a sleigh and eight tiny reindeer) MY FILM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was laying ON THE FLOOR, next to the bags that I had dumped everything out of.  The interesting part is; earlier I thought the dogs had gotten ahold of something to chew on (they picked that nasty habit up while we were gone) and I remember looking in that same spot! There was NO FILM there....COOL HUH?! 

I love my Granny!!!!!!

AT THE BEACH

We're home, VERY busy final week of school..will update later in the week...have a GREAT week everyone!!

 
ONLY 9 MORE DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Went to the beach, found some AWESOME stuff, including a live clam and a scallop(??) that were still in their shells, the scallop in a B I G shell, so we boiled him (and a ton others) when we got back and now the hotel villa STINKS but hey I have some COOL pictures and some cool shells!!   We found a gazillion and one starfish, including a purple one like the kind I found the last time we were down here.  We also went to the Alligator Farm (would link it but their site is down right now) and got some GREAT pics of all sorts of cool gators and crocs!  The kids had a BLAST and the adults did too, well except DH but he H A T E S the beach (he's a freak) so he sat with LT and played in the sand then took him to the car, party pooper!

SMIL took me shopping last night to get the kids some clothes for Xmas and they each got a toy (LT got 2 puzzles only because they were so inexpensive, BT got a GameBoy game).  Then they got about 2-3 outfits each, I can't remember.  So all in all today was a WONDERFUL day.  Going to the beach is like going home for me, I really feel at peace when I'm watching the birds and the waves and all the cool shells washing up....therapy that only costs one car ride.  I'm trying to talk DH into waking up early to get some more cool shells in the AM once the hightide goes down, we'll see how that turns out

Well we have to get ready to go to FIL's.  Update soon, hopefully before we leave (on Friday)....either way you'll have pics and all sorts of cool stuff come Monday!!!!

Ok, I guess that I should have explained my sense of humor THIS Was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, so to speak (wow, Dr. Seuss on the loose!) I am sure that if the parents are that crazy to auction off their kids' high school pics the kids got it from somewhere.  But then again there are parents that mean well and their kids just act like total idiots and don't get it.  I just found the whole auction to be somewhat funny. (ha ha funny and just hmmm funny)

Well got the whole smiley thing taken care of but damnit all if I can't get my kissy one to work, those lips are frightening so I need to change them, but the script won't work, so eh..fuck it.
I'm on the laptop all this week so excuse my horrendous typing skills, the keys are WAY too close together and I can't type correctly, and well...it pisses me off, so just get over the typos, I'm too tired to proofread for an hour anyway   I'm pretty sure that when I get back I'm going to have one hell of an entry.  We have a ton of shit going on and I need to get my thoughts into order before I post them....hell I don't even know what I'm thinking about half of this shit.  You all can help me I suppose...'cause y'all are cool like that!

Speaking of being cool like that, look at what sis made me...is she cool or what? (Though not nearly as cool as me and my beaver buying habits...hehehe)

Well we're here, we've checked into the VILLA! (hehehe).  We had to go to the local children's hospital this morning, BT fell off of a barstool and hit his head on the way down, on the hard wooden seat of ANOTHER barstool that was next to him.  So that was fun, but luckily Monday mornings are SUPER slow at hospitals so that was nice, we got in and out.  He has 2 staples in the back of his head, and he can't lay down but he's fine...or well he's the same as he was so ya know..

We also talked things through with DH's G-ma and I must say that I'm liking his family more and more now that everyone is understanding our stand with all the shit that we've lived through with my MIL and SIL.  More people support us than origianlly thought, so that's nice.  This is really turning into a pretty nice trip!

FIL is doing well, his walking is a little cautious and lopsided but he's doing pretty well!  The kids are enjoying themselves and all the attention that everyone is giving them, and we're coming back in Feb.  We'll be staying at the same place we're at now, because OMG it is truly as nice as it seemed!!!

Well we have to get ready to head back to FIL's house.  OH! the car drove WONDERFULLY all the way down, and BOY OH BOY is she pretty (but getting rained on right now!)  WEll off to 'walk the dogs then head over to FIL's! talk to you tomorrow!

I forgot to show just how truly vain I am...I went out and got this the day after we took delivery of the car...it matches the inside and is black leather, like the interior of my new SUV.  I know it's sad and i'm horrible, and materialism is running rampant, but ya know, I'm manic so it's ok I'll be better in a few weeks! hehehehe

It is a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder LE, complete with Navigation system, Entertainment system and 6-disc CD changer, and power moon/sun roof  OH! and black leather interior!!! HOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!!!! 

 I told DH this past Saturday as we were waking up, "Honey, we need to get the van serviced and all that before we leave."  He grumbled something about setting up an appointment.  I then said, "Or, ya know we could just go get a new car!"  He looked up and said "Uhhh, ok." I replied, "Well you see, I'm like 90% serious."  He then told me to look into it and I got online, got pre-approval through my current auto loan people and we went to numerous dealerships.  To make a TRULY LOOONNNGGG story short, we ended up getting better financing through Carmax and a DAMN GOOD DEAL on one SWEET ASS RIDE!!!! I'm so stinkin' excited.  After we get back from FL (or during probably, because my laptop will come with us) I'll be posting her vacation pictures, you know, on the beach, at the resort, all that!

I keep hearing childless people say, "Well if the parents are so good why are their kids so rotten?"  Well, you see I'm under the tree of; "Parents should do everything they can, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, there ARE just plain ROTTEN kids out there."

We leave Saturday and I have a MOUND (literally, a M O U N D) of laundry to do...not to mention make sure to pack the kids some climate appropriate clothing, which is...HELL IF I KNOW! they're saying mid to upper 60's during the day and balmy 50's at night.  We're sitting at low 30's (tomorrow's high [or today depending on when you're reading this] is a whole whopping 'break-out-the-shorts-margaret-we're-goin'-swimmin'-' 32 degrees!) So I figure they'll get some long sleeve T's and one or two thicker type things, gawd............... Anyway, be back later on on Weds [with a better post]...must go try to find the source of the muffled mewing under that MOUND of clothing in my dining room.......
