  • Clean Your Toys!

My children have the cleanest toys in the county, how do I know this?  Why, I'VE WASHED THEM ALL IN MY FREAKIN' WASHER!!  It seems that evertime I pull out clothes from the washer to go to the dryer, I find a new toy.  Tonight, a nice wooden round dowel from one of the MANY wooden building block sets he received for Xmas.  Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE the natural toys that make kids think, but I DON'T love pulling soggy cold wooden dowels out of my washer, I'm sure the washer doesn't apreciate the gesture, either.  Maybe I just need a REALLY big house with a 'Children's Wing' and they can just keep their toys over there....sort of like in the 'The Toy'.  Remeber how that kid had a HUGE room of nothing but TOYS!?  Man, I want a room like that...oh, well maybe the second Thursday of next week when I hit the lottery...it's in my horoscope, really!

  • I don't really have a comment but thanks for the laugh

  • I keep forgetting that you are in Atlanta.  I didn't realize you went to AAC, though.  What program/degree are you working on?  The website for The Art Institute is http://www.aionline.edu.  They seem to run about $400-500 cheaper per class, and their classes are in six-week sessions, which I like.  If I can afford either of them, that's where I'll be going.  Thanks for your comment!  ~Andi

  • You could always try buying 'em less toys...

  • Ok, Tess, that is a GREAT theroy but they already have so little toys that other people think I'm neglecting them! ROFL   Seriously, they don't have much and what they do have are natural, wooden, THINKING toys.  I'm notorious for throwing away (ok, putting into storage until I can get them to battered women's shelters) BOXES of toys every few months.  And they don't get new toys except for Bdays and Xmas...so that makes it easier.  Just had to clarify.

  • LOL...too funny!

    ;)

  • The more toys, the better....right??  Haha....um, no.  I found that out by my nephew living with me.  Ahhhhh!!!

  • I know what you mean...I swear, if I step on something in the middle of the night...ugh. I am actually moving the toys out of the play(dining) room b/c we're going to get a real dining room set. Now where am I gonna put all this stuff? We don't really buy many toys either. Of course, my mom thinks the baby is deprived b/c she has to play with Naazir's baby toys. So, she goes out and buys baby her own toys...whatever.

  • Gosh, you find toys in the washer?  All I ever find are nickels...and tissues, and whatever-Danny-was working-in-this-week
