  • We didn't get snow, just some freezing rain and sleet, it's all melted but the roads will be a joy in the morning.  But hey, I don't work so I don't give a damn!  DH does work though, hope gets there OK, that would suck if he didn't.

My poor cat has a big read mark on her shoulder and I keep thinking it's blood.....it's lipstick.  I don't know how to get that out of her fur and she bites like a big raving bitch so I'll be damned if I'M going to try to put liquid on her...her coat can shed it out.

LT finally took a bath and the constant, full-bodied blush is finally gone.  I didn't get pictures because I don't have any film and no digicam, GAWD DAMN NO DIGICAM, DAMNIT ALL TO HELLLLLLL!  That would have been a cute picture, he was sort of funny to look at but then when you looked at my comforter and my sheets, he stopped looking so funny.

I don't have anything to write about anymore....I mean I could tell you about sis' repelling adventures off of her neighbor's side yard with a blower strapped to her back, but really it wouldn't be that funny to you all...although I'm seriously chuckling about it now as I type this.  I guess that I'll have to have my kids do something cool.....like say funny things.

BT is a thinker, meaning he likes math, A LOT...science, well ya know some of it is interesting to him but mainly he's all about the math.  He's almost 5, on Tuesday...he'll be FIVE, omg...*pausing for reflection* Reflection over.  He can add double digits pretty well, and subtraction is pretty easy, and he loves every minute of it.  So I decide that today we'll make a collage with pictures of things that all start with the same letter. I figure, it's artsy and he enjoys working with letters almost as much as numbers.   I asked BT for his favorite letter (C) and he began going through a catalog of mine cutting out 'C' things...we have a TON of cut out cat pictures.  So then I tell him he can glue them to a stiff piece of paper any way he wants.  As I'm showing him how to glue with a glue stick he says...
"Mama, let's count all of our pictures! one..two..three.."  All that I can think (being the art major that I am) is,
"NO, SON, NO!! You're thinking with the wrong side of your brain, this is ART, MAN!! ART!!!!!" He then says,
"Wow we have nineteen pictures, cool!"  Of course I tell him that's cool now let's glue....

    BT's collage

Thankfully LT likes tools and working with his hands, maybe he'll be my design assistant? A mother can dream can't she?

  • Elijah is the same age and is also more into numbers than letters.  He doesn't do the addition, subtraction thing yet though.

Of course it frustrates me to no end because I hate math and love to read.  The question is how do you get your kid to stop being so freakish and start likeing what you do?

  • How cute! I'm hoping Naazir will be well balanced, like I am, bwahahaha.

  • That is too cute!  He's a smartie

  • He's going to be an architect!  Lots of numbers and art in that.  (And is that a Csnowman???)

  • It's a Christmas Cat on a Circle rug...get it?

  • Hope is four and she isto numbers too. SHe can say her ABCs and write her name and a few other words (love, mom, dad, dog, horse...) but she counts everything and she really does not want to learn to spell well unless it something that she is trying to write at that moment. I like the picture. Think maybe I will see if Hope wants to make one....

  • LOL! Have a great weekend!
