We Have a Winner!
Flyingbutter named the flowers and now they have NAMES! NAMES I TELL YOU!!!! NAAAMMMEEESSS!!! Ok, sorry, but I just LUUUVVVV nature and flowers and all that shit, so....ya know! Anyway, if Flyingbutter would like me to send her a print of one of my photographs, I'll be more than happy to oblige, just email me!
Now, speaking of photography...I was out and about on Easter Sunday, well ok, I was in the yard. I saw a small juvenile housefly and thought, "Wow that would make one kick ass picture!" So, I grabbed my camera and snapped a few shots, he was very kind to stick around so that I could photograph him. Here he is, in all his hairy glory (or gory?)

Up close and personal with Mr. Fly..
I was really trying to pick up the colors from his wings, and I'm more than glad that it came out....The hair is a little nasty, well hell, the whole picture is a little nasty if you think, this guy just got done munching on dogshit and decaying flesh...but his wings sure are purdy!

Most interesting blog, You crack me up,, yep i see the colors,, but now that you said where this creature has been,, can we splat the heck outta him? Or no,, better yet, let a venus fly trap slowly consume him,, yeah, yeah thats educational and er.. um fun LOL.

Ew, somehow I can't get the image of what's-his-name from the movie "The Fly" out of my head. I think it's the hair that does it. Ew. Great pic, though! ~Andi
Very pretty wings, but the hair...reminds me of this guy's back that I knew in middle school (he hit puberty before anyone else) YUCK!
