  • HEY Y'ALL!! I SAW THE SUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This entry is best read with a 'Steel Magnolias' accent

I swear, I DID!!! It was big and bright and shiny, and it cast this yellow glow over everything....Well, I think it was the sun or a bomb, who knows...

Oh and speaking of seeing illusive things...I saw...THE VICE PRESIDENT!! He was on T.V.  I almost choked on the water I was drinking.
    *end accent-reading*

Yeah, so I've been watching the news again...more or less for the run down of world news and then getting on with my life.  I don't remember what I saw...oh yeah 568,896,500 reports about the UN lifting sanctions on Iraq, I saw a LOT on that..oddly enough it was the same information just with different people at different places in and around the White House...yep, that was informative and entertaining...yessiree.

I really hate watching the news, there is ALWAYS someone on there who has an agenda and it's the stupidest point I've ever heard in my life.  I have also realized that being a journalist (at least a Tele-journalist) doesn't take much...Ok, you have to have looks and a good delivery, but so do comics and pizza delivery boys...yeah, right now I don't care for the TV news people...Actually, I haven't liked them for a few years now.

I wanted to thank everyone for their suggestions RE: AJ yesterday.  I can't put her in a home, not that it's impossible to do, but I, being me, can't do it.  If her [now]gaurdian  doesn't allow us to take her, that is probably where she'll end up.  I hate that thought.  My mother had an older sister who was mentally retarded and back then they put 'retarded' babies into hospitals to die, and that's what happened when my mom was about 5 or 7, I can't remember.  So, putting people into hospitals or group homes just isn't something I can do...not to mention that it would probably have to be a state run facility and she's probably not 'retarded enough' for one...Also, I figure that she can help out around the house...and seeing as I hate laundry and cleaning the kitchen with a purple and pink passion, that'd be great for her to be here (I'm KIDDING PEOPLE, she isn't slave labor I KNOW THAT!! GAWD!)

And I've been wanting to move forever, if you go back and read my first entires I talk about stupid realtors and showing the house...So that's a blessing in disguise, if we do get her and have to move....I get my house on 5-10acres out in the middle of nowhere, where The DH has to drive 100 miles just to get to work (he can just get a room for the week....I need the COUNTRY!).  And finally, we can't add onto our existing house because the lot is so small that we'd take up half-3/4 of it just for the expansion...not to mention the VA doesn't hand out home improvement loans..although they SHOULD! Veterans need to live in big nice homes too, right?

Yeah, so it looks like if we have to take AJ then my mom *might* buy our house to rent it out and we can move that way...gawd, I hope this all works out...I need somewhere to finally bury my roots.  And somewhere the kids can run around outside without worrying about getting picked up by freaks or hit by cars...and I want a cow and 2 jackasses, Dubya and Clinton will be their names..Dubya will be the girl, Clinton the boy, and they'll both be fixed.  Or are jackasses the ones that are sterile? Yeah, I think they are...hell if I know...I just need Dubya and Clinton.
Hmm, I wonder how many google hit I'll get for the search terms "Dubya, Clinton, Jackasses" Hehehehe

Yep, I want a little mini-farm..everything but chickens, they stink and are noisy..I would like one cow, but I need someone to slaughter it and butcher it...I don't wanna.  And I want a place to have a HUGE  veggie garden and nice spot for a pool.  That's my dream land...wow, this entry went all over the place didn't it?  I'll tell you about my dream house, the interior later I suppose! It's fun to dream!!

Ok, then........Happy Friday! Have a great weekend!!

Come out of your shell on May 23 to celebrate World Turtle Day. The American Tortoise Rescue sponsors the event annually to draw attention to the need to protect turtles and tortoises in habitats around the globe.

You have a great weekend too!

  • Just went back and read your post before this one too. (I subbed to a few people and then the dryer buzzed and that witch takes TWO HOURS so the faster I can empty it and re-fill it, the better...and something draws the cats and their fur to clean clothes like dust to mini-blinds so...I got stuck doing other things for a while.)

AJ doesn't sound bad. I went to an elementary school that had teachers and a department of it for special needs kids. The truly retarded kids are a totally different story but if she's just a little slow...and you home school your own children, you're probably the best thing that could happen for her.

The news on the other hand...gah...my husband watched it while the war was still active. In fact, the power was out when it started so we went to a sports bar/restaurant to see it and eat. HUGE mistake. We ended up interviewed by two different sets of reporters...complete with cameras...husband's still complaining they made him sound like a redneck. I look like a crack whore in the picture they snapped. Oh sweet digression. But there's nothing (in my opinion) more repetitive and annoying than the news. Not that I watch a lot of the boob-tube to begin with. I may just be the only person in the country that missed American Idol completely but...hm...are comments supposed to be kept short?

    (Dryer buzzes in the background.)

  • I'm back to my assumption that we're from the same pod.  I want a Burro and I'm gonna name him "Dad".  I lrented a room in a house that had chickens, and I wanted to kick them-they were sooooooooo gross! (Not to mention the house smelled like feet-but that's a different story)...

  • See, I think I'd like to have a small farm if I knew there was the possibility that I wouldn't be the only one taking care of everything. So until that day comes (or hell freezes over) I'm sticking to the house with the big yard. I do like the idea of having a few chickens, and maybe some rabbits, and a small garden . . . .
