Let's go on an Adventure, Shall we?......
This entry is orange to 'celebrate' the color of my street.
First, it started out with this river in front of my house, it looked like this, only a bit more water........
The backhoe guy, bulldozer dude, whatever the fuck he's called....started scraping the road..see, if they could gather all the mud up and do something with it, then we, the citizens of this fine city of the south, would be happy. So they scraped the mud.....all two inches of it...I mean like after he went from the left to the right of my house, he had scraped up about two inches total..it was truly sad and a waste of time...but I kept taking pictures...
They eventually started sloshing water all over it to 'rinse' it off. You know, it might not rain around here..I mean it hasn't rained in what, a whole 3 days now! WOWSERS!
So, what happens when they take gallons of water and throw them on the street?.....
Why, it goes down the storm drain then drains through your backyard, OF COURSE!!!!
The second half of our adventure begins when our 2 yr old 'hero' decides that running in the house, even though mom says not to, is just REALLY fun...so what does he do? Runs square into the corner of a wall. My stomach churned when I heard the 'thwap' and then the subsequent cries. He gashed his forehead, and fattened his lip. He's now walking around with an inch long gash on his forehead (right above the left eye and beginning at the hairline) with about 6 stitches in it (I seriously lost count, the doc just kept stitching and stitching). I would tell the adventure of waiting in the 'children's emergency' room but it would probably piss people off because there are certain people right now that I don't want to talk to, about, or even think of them right now...I never want to see a hospital again, thankyouverymuch.
Hospital visit tally;
BT- 2 sets of 2 stitches (one on the chin, one over the eye), 2 staples in his head, and 2 broken arm bones, all before his 5th birthday.
LT- 6 stitches on his forehead, before his 3rd birthday.
How in the hell did that kid beat out his big brother in one fail swoop?? I was hoping he'd be the graceful one, or at least less accident prone...gawd, I'm in BIG trouble.

Honey, you had no hope of gracefulness--they're boys!! Mwahahahaha . . . .
Mine has been to the emergency room once and had several other close calls.
Wow! I thought my son was bad with a broken leg and two sets of stitches before his fifth birthday (leg was at age two).
Ouch! poor kid.
Ouch poor mommy,, hugs to inner nerves!!
OMG! On both accounts...poor LT, hope he's feeling better.
