I think I'm getting sick. My mom is suppose to take the kids this weekend but BT has a cold, LT will probably get it tomorrow...if he doesn't have it by tomorrow I might have actually gotten lucky and he won't catch it at all...I sure hope that happens. I have more pictures of my pretty pretty flowers, I'll post those tomorrow maybe. Hope everyone is well and may spring come quickly to those of you who are still shoveling snow! ![]()

Spring Break-Day 4
This is LT after his 2nd birthday. Click for a full view. And no, he didn't REALLY drink Absolut...it's a prop, but a damn funny one!
By the way, I have vowed to not discuss world affairs on this blog, I might (big, glaring, MIGHT) post some to the turtlemama.com blog, but probably not. Not unless something really stupid happens..then I'll be 'The Editor' and speak out about it...for now though, I'm all about humor and good fun...ENJOY!

Spring Break-Day 3
Well, not too much going on....boy is it nice to not have school work to worry about. I'm about to have a gazillion tulips in my front yard, the weather will soon be sunny and warm (it's rainy and a slight chill is in the air, right now). Life is pretty good right now.
I'm having some sort of strange writer's block lately, I just don't want to write...I'd rather stay in bed all day with my husband..but the assmunch has to work...damn him.
I need to get creative and start doing something cool.....I"ll go figure that out and you all can move on to other more profound blogs...sorry that I've sucked lately, ok, I've sucked for a LONG time now but I'll try to get better..I just need to rid myself of this block. Have a great hump day!

Spring Break-Day 2
Well, I gave DH his ring yesterday after he got home. I will post a picture of the ring soon..he won't take it off so I'll have to find a time when he'll sit still and I can get a pic of it on his hand. It's BEAUTIFUL! And I had it engraved. 'Our song' is 'Iris' by The Goo-Goo Dolls and I put a line from the song on his ring. It was awesome! We were laying in bed just relaxing while the kids cleaned their room and the song came on, I sent him down for my Diet Coke. I grabbed the ring and hid it under my tongue. When he came back, I waited for the line that was engraved on the ring to be sung and then I kissed him and gave him the ring. It was truly AWESOME!
He knew that he was getting a ring, but I told him that the jewelers wouldn't have it ready until today, so he wasn't expecting it at all yesterday. The look on his face was worth the gash in my gums (yeah I know, bad mental image..get over it). I'm so happy that he likes the ring and he likes the engraving even more! LOL Men are funny, but at least mine understood all the meanings behind the engraving.
Well, I'll post a pic later...for now it's MORE laundry and kid-corralling...yay me.

Spring Break-Day 1.
Well, it is 8:30a and I'm awake and listening to the cars speed down the road, the WET road. The only nice day this week will be Tuesday, and possibly Friday...haven't heard about the weekend yet.
I suppose that being my blog and all I should give an update, or at least fill everyone (including myself in a few years) in on my life....Besides, I really don't have much else to do right now...
My husband and I went through a growth spurt of sorts and are now, happier and closer than when we first became married. Our best friends got to 'share' in this, only because I called B all the time and told her everything,...yeah, she's the best friend a chick could have. Anyway......from what I've heard every married couple goes through this stage. And let me just tell everyone out there that reads my blog, has only been married 5yrs or less....It gets MUCH better. But gawd damn is it ever work. I have honestly figured out why most marriages fail after about 3-8 years....I can't go into it here, you'd be reading all day! But, I will say this..both parties have GOT to work, HARD. But it is worth it, every last painful thing that you have to work through, is SO worth it.
Now, with that being said........My DH lost his wedding band, about 3 years ago. We've just never replaced it. I lost mine about 4 years ago and it has never been replaced. So, we both look like the GenX couple with kids but who will NEVER marry. Well, nothing against those GenX couples, but I want it to be KNOWN that I'm married! So, DH is on a mission to get me a ring, present it to me in a memorable fashion (I'm talking Oscar winning idea here, folks..the poor man has a BIG job ahead of him) and make the ring, AWESOME!!! He's been stressing for WEEKS!
So, what did I do? Why I snuck out and went to the jewelers and picked out a GEORGEOUS wedding band for him and was going to surprise him, long story short I had to tell him to make a decision and so he knows he's getting a ring. What he doesn't know is that I didn't get the ring he wanted, I got something better, and I had it engraved, so the ring will have more meaning. And, he doesn't know how I'm going to give it to him (it's simple, nothing like what he's suppose to do for me), or when he's getting it...I'm picking it up today, I hope. So, since he MIGHT read this blog, I can't tell you my plans, but I will tell you after they are executed

Well, I have more laundry than a prision and a house to clean, and I don't get inmates to help me, gawddamnit..so I have to wake up, make coffee and get the kids situated and then start on my day. Have a great week everyone! Tell me how your Monday is going or how your weekend went!!

*I am sitting in bed in the dark, no coffee, and I'm on a laptop, I apologize for typos, or grammatical errors...hell I apologize for this whole post...I am not fully awake yet, hell this might be the best post I've had in ages!!

First Come, First Served
Well, I'm relaxed...Aunt Flo is on her way out the door, I went to my dad's today and ran the kids ragged...they'll sleep great tonight, THANKYOUJEEZUS! The weather is AWESOME, my bulbs are coming up and one has already bloomed (I forgot the kind of bulb it is but it's PURDY!). The birds are chirping, the sun is shining and I got to put my sweaters in the back of the closet, broke out my shorts and T's and LIFE IS GOOD!!!!! I do, however, need a shower...we'll see if that happens before daylight ends today. School is done until March 24!!! YAY!!!! Then I'll only have 7 weeks left and I'l be off for the summer, returning in September. I am going to try and get my designs for my house and a friend's worked up and organized this summer. Man, oh man not having school this summer will rock so fucking hard...I can't even imagine it....YAY ME!!!!
DH might be getting his bonus this week or next, whatever day it comes it will be welcome in my bank account. I hope to get a new bedding set seeing as the kids put make up on mine...

Why does the question, "Do Christians Worship Images?" not have anything to do with art history? Well let's start out with the obvious...The word, 'DO' means, in the present (at least in the case of this question). We are learning about the Romans conversion to Christianity, so just asking if Christians worship images is too broad a question. Had the question been worded, "During the Roman conversion to Christianity, did the Christians worship images?" Would have been a better way to word it.
Now, let's get *into* the question....According to some Christians, Catholics are NOT in fact Christians, Baptists believe something different than Methodists, or Pentecostal so asking for a short summary of the broad question, "Do Christians worship images?" is virtually impossible.
I agree that religion had a TON to do with art, of course it does. But asking such a broad question, and not being the type of teacher to tolerate opposing views, makes my job that much more difficult. Maybe it should make my job difficult, that *is* the reason for higher education. BUT, for a teacher who doesn't give us feedback (except in very broad terms, such as, 'you are all doing realatively ok, but some of you could use improvement') to ask such a broad question is just ridiculous...I mean what students AREN'T doing well? How do I know that what I think is A+ work is actually crap? I'm not getting feedback.
So, basically does she want me to tell her that depending on the denomonation of Christianity some people worship images, but they in all actuality are worshipping the ideals behind those images? And just where in the hell am I suppose to find something that back THAT up???? It's basically a philosophical question that depends on your veiws, ideals, and morals...finding someone on the internet who just happened to make a site that contains your exact morals...well that can be damn near impossible to do.
I already have my argument made up and know what I'm going to write about, I just have to figure out how to find a site that can back those thoughts up. This isn't a right or wrong question, but the teacher that I have, is a right or wrong type teacher.
******************************
Well, I wrote the 'summary' and submitted it. I hope that it's ok. I also read the teacher's post about our midterm papers and all she said was that so far they all look 'relatively good' what ever the fuck that means. I guess my main problem wasn't with the question so much so as it was with the teacher asking it. Christianity is a HUGE religion and many people practice it differently, so how can I answer that question with the right answer? There is none. Ok, I'm off from school for the next week and a half, so you won't hear me bitch about it...aren't you just thrilled now?
